The Team

Founding Members

Tajjammal Murad formed Tramz Hotels Group in 1987 with the acquisition of two Holiday Inn hotels in Syracuse, New York and which expanded to owning and operating hotels in Mid Atlantic, South Atlantic, East and West North Central and South West Central Texas.
His career started as a young 23 years old Chartered Accountant from Pricewaterhouse and very rapidly escalated to controlling mega construction companies involved in construction of highways and land reclamation projects to the origination of loans and raising capital both for public and private companies coupled with the hospitality background that led to the birth of the hotel company.
His untimely passing away in 2007 left a void that has been filled up by his two sons Rehan and Zeeshaan Murad who both are with the Tramz group of companies.
Tarrunumn Murad founded Tramz Hotels in 1987. Her expertise to assess development opportunities and then bring them together all the elements required to add enormous value to the project. Ms. Murad has an MBA from the Columbia Business School. She is a Chartered Accountant (1976) and has over 10 years of experience with Pricewaterhouse and various government organizations before forming Tramz. She has been on the Holiday Inn IAHI Committee for several years.

Executive Team

Bill Shaw

(VP Operations)
Works closely with the General Managers of the Hampton Inn Hotels to ensure that brand standard are in place and revenues and profits are being maximized.
He has a management degree from West Texas A&M University and has over 10 years of hotel management experience serving as General Manager and Regional Manager of operations.

 

Bim Singh

(VP Finance)
Is responsible for the accounting and cash management at the corporate office. The bookkeepers at the hotel report to him. He receives information from the hotels and generates the financial statement for each hotel. He does the cash management of the company.
He has over 20 years of experience in the management of hotels in the capacity of General Managers and Corporate controller. Bim is a graduate from the University District of Columbia and a Certified Hotel Administrator(CHA) American Hotel & Motel Association.  

 

Rehan Murad

(Corporate Attorney)
Joined Tramz Hotels Group in 2007. He worked with Tramz under multiple positions and responsible for handling the legal aspect of the Tramz Group of Companies.
He worked with Arsenault Fassett and Mariano for 2 years before joning Tramz.
He graduated from Rutgers Preparatory School, Stern School of Business and earned his JD from New York Law School in 2003.
He admitted to practice in the State of New York, New Jersey Washington DC ; United States District Court. He is an active member in the NY , NJ and DC Bar Association.
He also served as an IAHI Ambassador from 2009 to 2012.


Zeeshaan Murad

(Operations Manager for New Jersey Properties)
He joined Tramz in 2015. He is a graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and did his MBA from Kean University.
He is a Certified Administrator for the Fairfield Inn Brand with Marriott. 

 

Tramz Hotel Team

This comprises of General Managers, Assistant General Managers, Internet Director, Administrative staff, Sales Directors, Executive House Keepers, Chief Engineers and miscellaneous staff of approximately 400 employees.
